Lily stands there for a long time until the two men come out of the operating room. They call her, which pulls her back to reality.<\/p>\n
They are black and blue all over. Louis\u2019 men probably hit them hard.<\/p>\n
“I’m so sorry.”<\/p>\n
Lily gives them double the wages and says that they are done here. Then she leaves herself.<\/p>\n
She goes back to the company to deal with her work.<\/p>\n

Lily is a bit soft-hearted, but she says resolutely in the end, “No, this is Louis\u2019 dog. Send him back.”<\/p>\n

“Oh, you can go back now. I’ll make dinner today.”<\/p>\n
“Alright, bye.”<\/p>\n
Lily often comes here and cooks for Chloe and Jessie. Betty is used it. She tells Lily that she’s cooking pigeon soup in the kitchen. Then she leaves.<\/p>\n
When Jessie hears their conversation, she comes out of the bedroom. “Ms. Lily, aren’t you busy at the company?”<\/p>\n
After moving here, Jessie lightens up a lot. And she does not have serious morning sickness anymore. These days, she gains some weights and looks much better.<\/p>\n
“I’m not busy. I’ve taken Chandler here.”<\/p>\n
Lily replies as she pulls Chandler over. “Let me introduce her. This is Aunt Jessie. She is pregnant and resting here. You can’t tell anyone about it, including your uncles.”<\/p>\n
“Yes, I know!” Chandler nods and greets Jessie, “Lily, you said that Chloe lives here? Where is she?”<\/p>\n
Jessie smiles. “She’s sleeping. You need to wait until she gets up.”<\/p>\n
“She’s taking a nap until now?” Lily gets worried. “She’s not feeling well?”<\/p>\n
“She asked me to watch horror movies with her last night. Then she got scared.” Jessie could only explain, “When I woke up in the early morning, she was still surfing the Internet. So, she went back to sleep after lunch.”<\/p>\n
Lily is speechless. “Why don’t you stop her? You’re pregnant. Aren’t you afraid of the movie?”<\/p>\n
“She insisted on watching it. And she didn’t allow me to sleep.” Lily. “It’s about zombies. I don’t think they’re scary.”<\/p>\n
Lily is lost for words.<\/p>\n
“Then what about you and the babies?”<\/p>\n
“I’ll raise them on my own.” Lily looks at her big belly. Tenderness fills her heart. “When the new product goes online and everything is done, I’ll go abroad.”<\/p>\n
Jessie asks, “Are you going abroad with John?”<\/p>\n
Lily’s eyes flash. She replies after a while, “He’s busy, and I want to live alone.”<\/p>\n
Jessie does not ask anything else. “It’s all up to you.”<\/p>\n
“When your baby grows bigger, I’ll send you abroad,” Lily says, “I’ve got someone to get your passport. If you keep hiding here, he’ll find you sooner or later.”<\/p>\n
“Yeah, I’ll listen to you.”<\/p>\n
With Jessie’s help, dinner is ready soon.<\/p>\n
Lily puts the dishes on the table and asks Chandler to have dinner. Chloe’s bedroom door is still closed, so Lily goes to knock on it.<\/p>\n
“Chloe, dinner is ready.”<\/p>\n
After shouting for a while, Lily doesn’t hear anything. So, she opens the door and gets in the room.<\/p>\n
The curtains are half open and the lights are dim.<\/p>\n
Lily walks over and finds that Chloe is still sleeping. But she is frowning, as if she can’t sleep well.<\/p>\n
“Chloe.” Lily touches her face.<\/p>\n
“Don’t go.” Chloe murmurs and tilts her head. Tears suddenly roll down her face. “Don’t go….”<\/p>\n
Lily thinks Chloe must have a nightmare. She is about to wake Chloe up, but Chloe suddenly bursts into tears in her sleep. Her eyes are closed, but tears keep flowing down her cheeks.<\/p>\n

Chloe cries so hard.
